Alcohol, Mother and Son

How is it possible for a mother to not love her son? How is it possible that a mother would not teach her son not to touch alcohol? How is it possible that mother's love does not prevail over the temptation to touch alcohol?

Is it really a temptation or peer pressure or sheer lack of principles in life? If parents could instill principles by living a life of example and actively informing and advising their children, then, it would be difficult for someone to stumble. Even if he stumbles, because of the strong foundation laid by his parents, he will pull himself up and walk.

Does this mean, Indian men can hide behind this excuse? Not at all. There is no excuse for anyone to touch alcohol because of the conscience mechanism inbuilt in our system.

How is it possible that a mother fails to communicate in her long years of close relationship with her son? How come that the whole of India is wallowing in alcohol? where's mother's love? is mother's pride only rooted in her son's materialistic success to the utter sacrifice of personal worth?

Did mothers fail in their responsibilities toward their sons? or have the sons failed to understand the love of their mothers?

How could you indulge in things if when your mother comes to know about it would break her heart? are you real men? is the stress and struggles of life too much for you to depend on alcohol to sustain yourself?

For many, it is only for fun, a life time of fun spent in the annals of tavern (madhushala). Or is it the lack of integrity in personal life?
